A Community Dedicated to Guiding the Next Generation

Connecting families through intentional mentorship, Christian fellowship, and rites of passage that transform lives.

Why this is important to you

According to the book Already Gone: Why Your Kids Will Quit Church and What You Can Do To Stop It by Ken Ham and Britt Beemer, three out of four kids raised in the church will walk away from their faith by the time they reach their mid-20’s. This sad statistic means that 75% of parents and churches will fail in their attempt to raise strong Christian men and women.

When does this disengagement begin? In the preteen and early teen years. Will you be the one out of four parents that takes deliberate action to place the odds back in your favor?

Parents today face an incredible challenge: raising children in a world filled with temptations that can pull them away from their faith and values. From social media influences to peer pressure, from the normalization of sin to attacks on biblical truth, our children are being shaped by a culture that often stands in opposition to God’s Word.

Every day, two competing messages fight for our children’s hearts and minds: the Message of Culture and the Message of Christ. The Message of Culture is built on deception, discouragement, disengagement, and ultimately, destruction. It entices with temptations like alcohol, drugs, pornography, disobedience, and self-indulgence—things that appear attractive on the outside but lead to the wide path of destruction. In contrast, the Message of Christ offers truth, hope, and life to the fullest (John 10:10).

As parents, we must recognize that these temptations will come looking for our children, whether or not they seek them out.

How the CROP Curriculum Equips Parents and Children

Rather than waiting for the fallout of poor decisions, we can proactively equip our children to make wise choices. The CROP curriculum provides a Christ-centered approach that makes it easy for parents to guide their children through these challenges. It requires no extra preparation—just show up, follow the lesson plan, and weave in your own life experience. Through CROP, children learn to recognize the consequences of poor decisions, how to make God-honoring choices, and how to stand firm in a culture that opposes biblical truth.

Biblical Encouragement for Parents

The Bible is clear that parents play a critical role in shaping their children’s faith. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs us to teach God’s commands diligently to our children, speaking of them daily and integrating them into every part of life.

Raising Godly children in today’s culture is not easy, but it is possible. When we, as parents, take an active role in teaching and discipling our kids through Christ-centered resources like the CROP curriculum, we give them the best chance to grow into strong, faithful men and women of God.

Conclusion

Our children’s future is shaped by the choices we make today. If we allow the world to teach them, they will adopt the world’s values. But if we intentionally train them in the ways of the Lord, they will be equipped to stand firm in their faith.

Let’s commit to raising the next generation of Godly men and women. Through biblical teaching, open discussions, and active parental guidance, we can help our children navigate the temptations of this world and walk confidently in God’s truth.

Becoming A Part of The Movement

CROP invites you to join an 8-week life study designed to lay a strong foundation in the Christian faith while integrating God’s timeless truths into the modern world our children navigate today.

At the end of each 8-week study, you have the flexibility to pause, take a break, or continue with another study. There are a total of five 8-week studies, collectively forming what we call a Unit. Think of it like studying the epistles—spending eight weeks in Galatians, then moving on to Ephesians, and so on.

The format is simple: meet once a week for two hours, engage in discussion, and explore that week’s topic. No advance preparation, no writing assignments, and no studying beforehand—just follow the lesson plan and incorporate your own life experiences into the conversation.

How It Works

CROP is not a drop-off program. Every student must participate alongside a parent, grandparent, or adult mentor. We believe discipleship happens best in the context of family, so we keep everyone together. CROP’s role is to introduce and guide discussions on challenging topics, empowering parents to take the lead in spiritual teaching. After each session, the parent or mentor continues the conversation at home—some of the most meaningful discussions happen on the drive back!

We strongly encourage families to go through the program with other families. Small groups of 3 to 6 boys or girls (we keep the groups gender-specific), along with their respective parent, grandparent, or mentor, form what we call CROP Circles. These groups create an environment of commitment, accountability, and companionship, strengthening both teens and parents alike. Teens build deep, faith-based friendships, while parents gain the support of others who are committed to discipling the next generation.

Join a CROP Circle, invite friends, and embark on a life-changing season you’ll never forget. Additional resources—including how to start a group, run effective meetings, and explain the program to others—are available elsewhere on this site.
